Pidaparti purnayya vigyam trust has celebrated the centenary birth anniversary of Sri purnayya garu on 17th January, 2010 at Rajahmundry. On this occasion a conference was conducted where Panchang makers from the corners of Andhra Pradesh participated. The well known Astronomer and Panchang maker, Daivjna Shri Madhura Krishnamurty Sastry delivered his lecture on the tradition of Panchang making and he shared his experiences on this issue. The conference was also addressed by Peethadhipati of Sri Peetham, Kakinada, the famous Daivjna Srinivasa Gargeya, respected Ayyanna patrudu garu from vishakapatnam and others. The coference was attended by the MP of Rajahmundry, Sri Undavilli Aruna Kumar, MLC Sri Kandula Durgesh, State Minister Smt Jakkampudi Vijaya Lakshmi and many prominent personalities.
